Who we are

GCEZONE ("GCEZONE", "we", "us", or "our") is a mobile application that helps Cameroonian GCE students prepare for their exams through past papers, notes, AI-powered answer marking, a results checker, and related study tools. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.

Who can use GCEZONE

GCEZONE is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account or provided us information, please contact us using the details below so we can remove it.

• To improve GCEZONE's features and reliability

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

Payments

GCEZONE uses Fapshi, a licensed Cameroonian payment service provider, to process Mobile Money and Orange Money subscription payments and referral commission payouts. When you make a payment or receive a payout, your phone number and transaction details are shared with Fapshi solely to complete that transaction. GCEZONE does not store your Mobile Money PIN or full financial account details — these are handled directly by Fapshi and your mobile network operator.

How we store and protect your information

Your account and app data are stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore database), and study materials/result documents are stored using Cloudflare (Workers and R2 storage). Both providers apply industry-standard security practices. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Who we share information with

• Fapshi — to process payments and payouts (see "Payments" above)
• Google Firebase — for authentication and app data storage
• Cloudflare — for hosting study materials and result documents
• Law enforcement or regulators, where required by applicable law

We do not share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

Your choices

• You can update your profile information from within the app
• You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us below
• You can uninstall the app at any time to stop further data collection on your device

Data retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal information within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, transaction records) for legal or accounting purposes.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app.
